1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. When you use the service, we collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and search queries. If you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment information — we never store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve the TraderCongress service, send transactional emails (confirmations, alerts, digests), process payments, and analyze aggregate usage trends. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens are managed via secure HTTP-only cookies. We use industry-standard security practices including rate limiting, CSRF protection, and strict Content Security Policies.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Database and authentication
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Vercel — Hosting and analytics
• Data Aggregators — Congressional trading data (no personal data shared)
• USASpending.gov — Federal spending data (public API, no personal data shared)

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication session management. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, aggregated usage data. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Your Rights

You can request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account from the Settings page, which removes all associated data including watchlists, alerts, and preferences.
